We are also looking for helpers

Being a helper for our monday and tuesday stamp camp will save you over $100 as helpers pay $55 and get to attend all Late Night Stamper Pre-Convention events.

For 2012, each Late night Stamper member can reserve ONEsleeping room in their name.

If you wish to have your other team members stay there with you in a near by room/floor please have them call and book EARLY!!!

The Radisson has given us 3 entire floors all to ourselves!

Our reservations start the Sunday before convention and end the Sunday after convention.

From the Radisson.... Is it close enough to walk to the convention center? Exactly how far is it?

Their parking lots touch and the back door is about 50 steps from the radissons front door!!!

That is why we stay there!!!!

This note was sent to all demonstrators today - we did it!

Congratulations! You’ve had an amazing recruiting year. As of midnight last night, the recruiting totals are in and you not only hit the 16,000 goal, you exceeded it! 16,046 new demonstrators joined us in 2011. Great job!

Although we will be updating the +One land page in each country website very soon, we couldn’t wait to share the good news right now. We also want you to know that our +One goal of $188 million in sales is still within reach. We are currently at about $181 million globally. We hope to be communicating to you within the next few weeks that you have made that goal a reality as well. We’ll keep you posted!

While we are always thankful for the way you share what you love, it is especially delightful to see that you have reached a challenging goal and to know that so many new demonstrators will have the opportunity to build a relationship with you as part of your downline, and to be part of this wonderful company that continues to help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments!

Hi Everyone! We're almost there! No not Christmas.... the WEEKEND! (But I guess Christmas would be the logical guess!!) I have a quick post for you today... The thing I liked best about being a stampin up demonstrator when my kids were you was it gave us something fun to do together and all four of our children are artistic! I loved being able to have friends over to stamp each week. Each year before the holidays a few friends and I would help our kids create little gift projects that we would sell at the Doodlebug craft show. Each of us would make a little extra money to go shopping for Christmas. It taught our kids that when we want something we can work for it. I do hope you will call me and see what being a demonstrator in your spare time is all about. It's the only Hobby that I have ever LOVED enough to share it with all my friends and family! Cupcake Throne

Materials you’ll need for the basic construc-

tion of this project include:

1 - 3-1/4” x 11” piece of cardstock

1 - 3-1/4” x 12” piece of cardstock

2 - 1-1/2” x 4-1/2” pieces of cardstock

Sticky Strip

Snail adhesive for adding decorations

Additional patterned paper, cardstock,and

embellishments for decorating.

Tools necessary for creating this project in-

Stamps and punches of choice for decorating.

A delicious cupcake to sit in your throne!

Directions

1. Score the 3-1/4” x 11” piece of cardstock 1” from each end. This is the base of the cupcake throne.

2. Score again 5” from each end.

3. Punch with 2-1/2” circle punch in section D as shown on template A.

4. Score the 3-1/4” x 12” piece of cardstock 6” from one end in the exact center. This is the back of the cupcake

throne.

5. Score the 1-1/2” x 4-1/2” pieces 1/4” from each side. Cut diagonally across the corners. These are the sides of

the base of the throne.

6. Fold the base, back, and sides along the score lines.

7. Place sticky strip as shown on template.

8. Using Diagram 1, assemble cupcake stand by turning base upside down.

9. The sticky strip on section A should be on top. Fold section A up.

10. Fold section C up as well, then fold the next score line so that section D (with the hole) is on top.

11. The sticky strip on section E should be on top. Fold section E down.

12. Fold the back in half along the score lines. All sticky strip should be on the inside.

13. Remove the liner from the sticky strip on section A and the bottom of section F. Adhere section F to section

A as shown in Diagram 1.

14. Remove the liner from the sticky strip on section E and adhere to section F as shown to create the base.

15. Remove all of the sticky strip from section G and adhere down to sections F and A as shown.

16. Remove the sticky strip from one side of the side pieces and adhere to the inside of the base along the bot-

tom of one side. Remove the sticky strip from the other side and adhere to the insde of the base along the top.

Repeat for the other side.

The first Thursdays of each month is our Shoe Box Swap

where we all get together to stamp and make each others cards.

The third Thursdays of each month is our technique training's for our team.

Embossing Samples by Sherrill Graff

I would love to invite each of you who attended the Henderson Regional to share your positive comments here.

Beginner embossing workshop - at the end of my workshop demonstration I would show this card as well as let them make the center of this card so new customers can learn embossing. Most customers will add a silver or gold embossing power to their order after they try embossing for the first time. This set and any 3 step stamping set will work perfectly for this technique.

Intermediate Embossing workshop - At the end of my demonstration I would show them the resist technique and they would each create the background to this card. Customers would usually add clear embossing to their order. For the technique stamp and emboss your images using clear power. Then use daubers to ink around the embossed images to help them show up. Stamp black images and Distress the background.

The leaf image in the center has a thin coat of clear embossing over it.

Here is another sample I showed today.

The DSP has a thin layer of clear embossing powder over it and while the embossing was still pliable I punched it out with the ornament punch. If you wait until the embossing is completely cool the embossing may crack when you try and punch it out.

Advanced Embossing workshop

Many of you were able to see today at the Henderson Regional how I create embossing chips to use at my workshops.

To make the pre-melted embossing chips

I cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil then I pour embossing powders onto the foil. I pre heat the oven to 350 degrees. TURN OFF the oven before you put the cookie sheet in. Keep the door closed. About 4 to 5 min later check and see that the embossing powder is melted. Take the cookie sheet out of the oven and allow to cool.

Once the embossing is cool, peel the foil away from the embossing from the foil. Break the embossing into chips and store in a plastic baggie to use at your workshops.

These samples are multi layered embosssed chip board.

The above sample has a line of sticky strip along the bottom that I poured embossing powder on and heated. I love that look.

This is a close up of the multi layered embossed embellishment I had on the stocking sample.

I was thrilled to have so many team members and friends there today. Thanks for the kind comments about my demonstration. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and learned a few new ways to use your embossing powders.

weight watchers and sherrill graff - 69 pounds lost

If you are on weight watchers, and you went to your meeting this week...what did you learn, what will you try new? I lost a pound. 4 more to go before I reach my goal. I'm off to the gym to burn some calories. I just had 3 egg whites, 1 slice of turkey bacon and an apple. I'm trying to be more accountable this week. I'm also trying to focus on my bucket wish of being able to wakeboard. I have not been this weight since my last child was born. YIPPEE!!! I'm going to reach my goal and stay there!
