I'm in Stampin Success!

I'm so pleased to be in Stampin Success! It was so much fun to be asked to be a reporter for Leadership conference in Palm Springs.

While I was not reporting I was taking photos of all the quick and easy cards on the display boards. I also took photos of swaps with techniques like these two. The pear is watercolored and the flower with it's folded petals. Many of these samples I have created in stamp camps for my customers. They love them!

for my customers - please join us

This is where we stayed in Palm Springs for leadership conference. It was a nice vacation with many of my stampin friends!

If you're a mom that wants to stay involved with her kids, but also wants to contribute to the family in a financial manner, you might want to look at your computer a little more closely.

There are more moms logging onto the Internet than ever, but what does that mean for you? On the Internet, there are millions of websites that are making a profit while the business owners remain in the comfort of their own home. This can be you!

Just because you're a mom that doesn't work outside of the home doesn't mean that you can't use the time that you do have to create a successful business. You probably already have the skills from your previous employment experience, and even if you don't, you can learn them. By working from home, you will still be able to spend that quality time with your children.

The first thing that you will want to do is come up with an idea for a web business. I started with Stampin Up over 17 years ago. It was the creative outlet I needed.

Stampin Up also provided me with all the resources and a good compensation program that provided income and allowed me to build my business around my family over the years. The easiest and most cost-effective way to start and run your business is to reach your customers over the Internet.

We have Stampin Up company websites and many of us also chose to have blogs which are linked by webring allowing stampers and scrapbookers to find us easily.Starting and building an online business takes patience and time in the beginning. As you build you will earn instant income as well as override commissions as you add team members.

I have been thankful for spending time at home with my children as they have grown. My oldest is now 22 (she was 5 when I started) and my youngest is 13. You can do it too, and I can help you along the way.

Contests and Events are worthwhile

Sherrill's Contests and Events are worthwhile - Please join us

I love your contests, the challenges and, as one of the winners, I can't tell you how generous you are...thank you for your encouragement and sharing so much with the rest of us.

Beverly Penick bjpenick@charter.net

I first heard about Sherrill on another stamping list I belong to and learned some great "long distance" techniques from her via a technique newsletter she did at that time. Uses Lumiere paints, reinkers and marbling paper, I believe. After I started to participate in that technique newsletter, I rec'd a "mystery package" in the mail of some of the reinker supplies. Of course, it was a total surprise and I finally called DS to find out why I was getting this package thinking that it was a shipping boo boo on the part of SU. Imagine my surprise when the DS gal looked up the shipping order number and told me that it was from a demo in the Las Vegas area named Sherrill. DING! the light bulb lit up and I realized who had sent it. What a sweet and wonderful and totally unexpected surprise! However whenever I see a Mellow Moss reinker, I always remember Sherrill!

Because of that contact, I found out about a stamp camp she was offering on check in day of the 2003 Vegas convention and I signed up for that with a friend. We did some great projects and enjoyed ourselves as well. Brought home some of the projects we did and was able to turn them into wonderful class samples. The best one was the "explosion" style fold that became so popular for the little squash books. I had tried making one before at an event but was rather...um, I guess "challenged" would be the word? Trying it again later at Sherrill's class somehow made it "click". I remember the tip of "putting two points up and the middle points down and pretend the bottom point is gobbling up wth top point. I know, I know...sounds nuts but that was how I managed to remember! I can't tell you how many squash book projects I have done since that time from stamp camps to club projects to kids' b-day parties. Always a big hit!

So yes, I would have to say that the long ago contact with Sherrill's events did have a great effect on helping me come up w/ new projects for my business and because of that I was delighted to participate in this Late Night Stampers go round. Not sure I would have been interested in it had I not already met Sherrill and known of her generosity and helpful nature. Of course, this didn't happen to me

In addition, one of my first level downline (Bev P) will be attending the convention with me and already sent in a sample for a monthly contest...she was THRILLED to win a prize of free SU product last month and I'm sure that it will inspire her to continue pushing herself creativity wise and this can only help build a business, right?

I know Linda who makes stampin school has a blog where the videos are free but they are only there for a week.
That's why I subscribed.

Many of you know I have been stamping for 17 years but I still have plenty to learn.
I'm impressed with her videos so much that I gave 15 people in my downline a free subscription.
I think education will go a long way, and eventually help them all have more fun which usually means sales increase.

I love all the new stuff I got from the Occasions Mini!
I can't wait to play more with the hodgepodge!

I spent yesterday working up a new class.

As you can see from the photo, out of all that I made 2 12X12 pages with pockets and pullouts, 2 6x6 pages and 3 cards.
